Vistas release brand new track ‘Retrospect’

Edinburgh-based band Vistas have just revealed their brand new track, Retrospect via LAB Records. It has gone straight into Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist (518k followers) at number 6, above Sia, Elbow and Morrissey. Retrospect is the band’fourth single out of four, to be included in the prestigious playlist, all in the top 10. The single has also been added to Spotify’s ‘All New All Now’ playlist (247k followers), and  ‘The Indie List’ (188k followers). Listen to Retrospect here.

The indie-pop outfit are currently on a headline tour, around Scotland. They kicked things off at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Wednesday, and will wrap things up at what will be a sold out hometown show at The Mash House in Edinburgh next Friday.

This year has seen Vistas cut their teeth on the live circuit. The band have recently wrapped their first co-headline tour with Derry-based 3-piece, TOUTS. In celebration of the release of their single Hold Me, they played a very special single launch show in the Summer at Urban Outfitters in Edinburgh, in association with Urban Outfitters Live. Vistas have also played shows supporting Clean Cut Kid, The View and Model Aeroplanes, and more recently festivals such as Neighbourhood Festival, Bestival and Tenement Trail.

The Edinburgh four-piece burst onto Scotland’s music scene late last year, and were tipped by Spotify, as ‘one of the best new British bands of 2017’. Their previous single Hold Me is currently sitting on Spotify’s ‘Feel Good Indie Rock’ (895k listeners), ‘Indie Roadtrip’ (216k listeners), ‘It’s ALT Good’ (175k) and Medicine is on the ‘New Noise’ (254k listeners) Spotify playlist. Vistas have also been featured as Spotify’s cover band on their ‘Hot New Bands’ playlist, and also been included on their New Music Friday playlists across the world, as well as the UK.
