Mega Hard Rock Group The Dead Daisies, whose massively rated third album ‘Make Some Noise’, released on August 5th via Spitfire Music /SPV, stormed in to the UK National Album Charts at 35 (let alone landed in the Top 40 of numerous other territories worldwide), have announced a ten date co-headline UK tour with The Answer in November 2016.
‘Make Some Noise’, which was superbly recorded and produced by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry) in Nashville in February and March 2016, is a stunning, full-on hard rock ‘n’ roll triumph, packed with huge hooks, giant, intense guitar riffs and glorious, distinctive vocals. Which is exactly what you’d expect from such an incredible band, boasting former members of the likes of Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Foreigner, Dio, Mötley Crüe and more.
‘Make Some Noise’, celebrates the kind of classic rock ‘n’ roll that has gone from strength to strength ever since it emerged in the early 1970’s and that sweaty clubs, concert halls and stadiums the world over would be impossible to imagine without. The band state that “our songs are simply timeless, immortal, classic! That’s why the reaction is always phenomenal, no matter when and where this band turns up.”
Powerplay Magazine awarded ‘Make Some Noise’ 9/10 in their August 2016 issue, writer David Thrower proclaiming “The band deliver an updated take on the classic 70s rock vibe on ten original tracks plus two cover versions that scream vitality. Lead single and opening number ‘Long Way To Go’ struts with an AC/DC assuredness thanks to a stabbing riff from both guitarists with Aldrich proving yet again why he is always in demand while Corabi’s voice sounds as powerful as ever… ‘We All Fall Down’ ‘Mainline’, ‘How Does It Feel’, hell virtually everything on offer, have the bounce and playfulness Tyler and Co bring to the party. Producer Marti Frederiksen may have had a hand to some extent, having worked with Aerosmith since the 90’s, but overall the resulting output was created by five incredible musicians at the top pf their game.”
Record Collector’s Tim Jones proclaimed in the September issue that ‘Guitarist / songwriter David Lowy’s policy of recruiting the cream of the rock crop pays dividends again on the third offering from The Dead Daisies supergroup… Kicked off by the Motley Crüe-esque single ‘Long Way To Go’ several offerings should have fans of 90’s Dave Lee Roth stroking their spandex (see the whirring guitars and and gyrating, snake-oil show tambourine of ‘How Does It Feel’ and drowse-rousting ‘Freedom’), while ‘Song And A Prayer’ conjures up visions of fellow erstwhile Van Halenite, Sammy Hagar, with its honeyed harmonies. The six string contingent also tears down the ‘Mainline’ and the title track would be a roof raiser in a cabriolet. Prime drive-time. 4/5”
The Dead Daisies have already established themselves as a must-see live act, having toured with the likes of ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard and most recently KISS, on their ‘Freedom To Rock’ US tour. The band will warm up for the UK tour when they set sail on the KISS KRUISE in early November before flying in to bring the house down when they play the following shows with The Answer:
