Kicking off 2017 with a bang, the three-time multi-platinum and Grammy®-nominated artist/producer duo The Chainsmokers (comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart) have revealed their brand new single “Paris” today – watch the brand new lyric video above!
The beachy visual was directed by Rory Kramer and features Instagram model Alexis Ren. “Paris” is the official follow up to their latest smash hit “Closer,” which dominated 2016 as one of the biggest singles of the year. “Paris” marks another offering from the duo that features vocals from Drew himself.
The Chainsmokers proved themselves to be the breakout story of 2016 with over 5 Billion global streams and three multiplatinum singles. Tracks “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down” both achieved platinum status in the UK with “Closer” topping the charts here for four weeks. The song’s official lyric video also reached a staggering 1 Billion views on VEVO this week. “Closer” is available on the ‘Collage’ EP, which debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart upon release.
The Chainsmokers received three Grammy® nominations in the Best New Artist, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Closer” Featuring Halsey) and Best Dance Recording (“Don’t Let Me Down” Featuring Daya) categories. Alex and Drew also recently took home the award for ‘Favorite Artist – EDM’ at the 2016 American Music Awards.
