Raye returns with new single ‘The Line’

The UK’s most hotly tipped newcomer and pop superstar in waiting, RAYE, returns this May with her brand new single ‘The Line‘.

Co-written by Raye and produced by FRED, ‘The Line’ is a gold plated tune, full of character and featuring RAYE’s unmistakable swagger alongside lyrics about the hassle of club queues on a night out.You can listen to ‘The Line’ here:

RAYE has already hit the UK charts hard, featuring on Jonas Blue’s recent hit “By Your Side’ and collaborating with Jax Jones on the MONSTER smash hit ‘You Don’t Know Me’, which reached No.3 on the Official UK Singles Chart, has to date gone Platinum in the UK alone, being streamed over 100 million times.

RAYE is the perfect popstar. A 19-year-old South Londoner who has been tipped by everyone from i-D Magazine, 1Xtra, Vevo and The Hunger, to MTV, The Guardian, The Sun and the BBC Sound Poll (she came third place). Her current CV includes two stellar EPs, writing credits on hits for Charli XCX, Snake Hips and Blonde, collaborations with Nas on the soundtrack to The Birth Of A Nation & Stormzy on her track ‘Ambition’, and a support slot on Jess Glynne’s Arena tour.

RAYE’s steady shift in sound and a move towards something more pop is all part of her masterplan. “I want to be a massive pop artist and I’ve always wanted to start in the right place so that’s with the music I love. I’ve always wanted to do it in my own way, on my own terms. It sounds stupid but I want to be as big as I can be,” she states. “I want to be massive. I’m 19 and I’m just starting so let’s go.”
