Leeds’ 360 club set for 360RAW featuring Sam Wilde and more

Following the first two highly successful, sold out nights of #360RAW, RICHARD WATSON, promoter of the 360 Club at Leeds Lending Room, and ALAN RAW, presenter of BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and BBC Introducing Humberside, are proud to announce the third of these special events.

This time presented as an official event for BBC Music’s ‘The Biggest Weekend Fringe’ in association with BBC Introducing West Yorkshire, the third night will take place on FRIDAY 25 MAY – subtitled #360RAW3 – and will feature a further four of the region’s finest and most exciting emerging acts – SAM WILDE, THE HARRIETS, DOTTIE MAI and VAUGHAN – each of them on this occasion drawn from the streets of Leeds. Tickets are £6 plus booking fee and are available here: skiddle.com/e/13200062

As with the previous #360RAW events, the night will see Alan Raw DJ before and between the live sets, playing new music of all styles from local artists. Anyone can turn up and meet the face behind BBC Introducing and are encouraged to bring demos which he may well play on the night, or pass onto the producers for consideration on his shows.

The ethos of #360RAW is purely about supporting emerging acts, a passion that both Richard and Alan share and one that sees them freely offer musicians their time and help and advice without any hidden agenda, as well as attending free industry events, often arranged by the 360 Club themselves.

SAM WILDE

“… Sam Wilde is doing some beautiful stuff; these are quality alternative sounds …” SOUNDSPHERE

“… An awe-inspiring, emotional acoustic performance with a rich, powerful voice that will see you need to re-hinge your jaw back in place once it’s over …” LIVE IN THE HIVE

SAM WILDE is a singer songwriter from Leeds. His writing shows the influence of his time growing up in Manchester, and is modernised by the rugged characteristics of his voice and his strikingly delivered lyricism. He is now fronting a newly-formed three-piece and playing electric guitar, resulting in a sound that is finely poised between alternative blues rock and the roots of Americana. Every note, every word is infused with passion, his voice occupying a space somewhere between a tender whisper and a savage roar. Sam is currently recording his second EP which will further reveal this unpredictable shift in sound.

THE HARRIETS

“… Like a lost classic recording from CBGBs-era New York, which in my book is high praise indeed …” TOM ROBINSON, BBC 6 MUSIC

“… Upbeat, excitable and with an allure of creative intelligence …” MEDIUM MAGAZINE

Leeds-based trio THE HARRIETS deal in jangly, melodic tunes with a focus on the bright and distinctive vocal harmonies of their two front men aligned to creative and melodic interplays between guitar and bass. Their infectious, energetic live shows have earned them appearances at Bingley Music Live and Long Division festivals, while their recent single, HARRIET WHO? / TELEVISION, won extensive support from Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music.

DOTTIE MAI

“… Dottie Mai has some top songs up her sleeve coupled with a great voice; Grunge Pop is on its way and it’s Dottie Mai who’s bringing it …” BLUEPRINT MAGAZINE

“… Join the journey with Dottie Mai on this pop-focused melancholic adventure of soulful music from the heart …” BBC INTRODUCING

Dream pop with attitude. DOTTIE MAI writes and produces with imagination, soul and, importantly, grit; layering dreamy vocals with grungey beats and mysterious synths to create an otherworldly, badass vibe. With support from BBC Introducing both regionally and nationally, Dottie has quickly become one of the most watched and most tipped artists on the dream pop scene and her forthcoming EP holds untold potential. VAUGHAN

“… A bold introduction …” BBC INTRODUCING

VAUGHAN is a singer, a songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist whose emotive blend of alt-pop and electronica delivers a unique and eloquent study into a bruised reality. Having been shortlisted for the 2018 Emerge Music Prize and with a performance at Liverpool Sound City confirmed for early May, his remarkable debut works will be released later this year, revealing narratives on hedonism and anxiety. Beyond that Vaughan remains, for the moment, an enticing enigma.
