Jimmy Eat World have revealed “Sure and Certain”, the first single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming album, “Integrity Blues”.

Of the track, Jim Adkins, singer and guitarist of Jimmy Eat World explains, “The song is about how limiting your own ideas for perfection can be. That, in constantly gunning with blinders on for achieving your ideal expectation, you are limiting your ability to appreciate all the things surrounding you in the present.”

“Integrity Blues” will be released on Friday 21st October. The album was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, M83, and Air).

Jimmy Eat World previously shared the track “Get Right” from the album. It received its world premiere on Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show.

Jimmy Eat World are one of the most influential rock bands of the last 20 years. They blazed a trail in the emo scene in the 1990s before adding a richly melodic strain of power pop to their sound. The band have consistently had hit records over the years. Alongside 2001’s “The Middle”, the likes of “Pain”, “Work”, “Sweetness” and “Always Be” have hit the upper reaches of the UK charts. Over the course of their career Jimmy Eat World have built one of the most fervent fan bases around and become perennial festival headliners across the globe.
