HEALTH set to release new album ‘Death Magic’

In June, HEALTH made a long awaited return to UK shores to play an incredible packed out show at Tufnell Park Dome following the announcement of their brand new album ‘Death Magic’ which is due for release on August 7th on Fiction Records for the UK.

The first track they shared from the album was the brilliant ‘NEW COKE’ back in April, last week Pitchfork hosted live footage of that track recorded at Primavera sound – you watch that HERE. Then came the latest and lead single ‘STONEFIST’ – which also impacts on August 7th which you can listen to above!

In further exciting news, and in keeping with their overall ethos of pushing boundaries, HEALTH are pioneering a new music format with the use of 3D printing & augmented reality.

In conjunction with REIFY – the art-meets-tech platform championing this brave new world of how we consume music – HEALTH’S album track ‘DARK ENOUGH’ will be transformed into a physical 3D sculpture and available exclusively through the REIFY Kickstarter, which launches today. As well as HEALTH leading the charge, REIFY’s innovative Kickstarter will feature rewards from YACHT, Tim Fain, Mae and the estate of Billie Holiday.

REIFY works with musicians using their custom design software to make 3D printed totems that visually represent songs, then encodes them with music and visuals. When a mobile device camera is pointed at a totem, their free Stylus app launches an on-screen & audio experience of the song within an interactive visual environment. REIFY is an inaugural member of NEW INC, the first museum-led incubator conceived by the New Museum in 2013

Next week sees HEALTH play YOU ARE NOT ALONE – a 3 consecutive night residency in hometown LA at The Echo on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th. In October, after a run of EU dates, HEALTH are set to return to the UK with a mini-tour taking in shows in Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester and finishing off at London’s Heaven on the 28th October before heading to Paris to play this years Pitchfork Festival.
