Glass Mountain announce new single ‘Gin Flows Through My Veins’

Hide & Seek Records, home of Post War Glamour Girls, Department M and Sam Airey, are thrilled to announce they have teamed up with GLASS MOUNTAIN for their forthcoming single, GIN FLOWS THROUGH MY VEINS, due on 27 October.

The label have been avid fans of the Bradford based band since falling in love with their fragile yet gut-punching debut GLACIAL EP in 2016 and are delighted to be joining forces with the talented four-piece as they continue what is already proving to be an exciting journey. A journey that, in a year since forming, has already seen GLASS MOUNTAIN – who take their name from a David Hockney artwork – support a diverse range of artists including Slotface, Elvis Depressedly, Embrace and space-rock legends Hawkwind.

It is a testament to their songwriting ability that they are such a difficult band to categorise, capable of injecting Sigur Ros beauty with a dose of the industrial north, or equally comfortable making slacker rock dramatic and enchanting.

While their set lists can be broad, all their songs share a cinematic widescreen sound with front man Harry Hanson’s alluring vocals drawing the listener further into the band’s fascinating universe, none more so than on GIN FLOWS THROUGH MY VEINS. Harry describes the single as reflective of losing that special connection with something powerful and all-encompassing; yearning for that feeling to come back; and having to deal with the fact that it probably never will.

The single will coincide with a show at LEEDS BRUDENELL SOCIAL CLUB on THURSDAY 2 NOVEMBER with fellow rising stars of the burgeoning West Yorkshire scene THE GOLDEN AGE OF TV. The band will then begin the new year with the release of the WOW & FLUTTER EP in February on deluxe coloured 12” vinyl, available for pre-order now from: http://glassmountainband.com/

A tour to accompany the WOW & FLUTTER EP next year will be announced shortly.
