Fearless Vampire Killers announce mini album ‘Bruises’ and Europe/UK tour!

It’s often said that it takes three albums for a band to find their definitive sound, and this could very well be the case for FVK who today announced the release of mini-album BRUISES on 23rd October. Shedding the concept of Grandomina, a fictional city that held the foundations for previous albums Militia of the Lost and Unbreakable Heart, BRUISES marks a new era for FVK and is home to six game-changing tracks:

“We’ve always had a plan since the beginning. We wanted to do the concept properly and then move away from it to focus on our real life experiences. ‘Bruises’ comes from the heart. It’s allowed us to explore a whole new side of the band commenting on the darker side of human nature. It’s still dark, but much more frank. Our ability as musicians and songwriters has also developed, so I think it’s pretty unanimous within the band that this is our best material yet!”

Kier Kemp, co-singer

The title BRUISES is derived from FVK’s struggles and triumphs as a modern band in a constantly shifting music industry. In an age where record sales alone aren’t a viable income stream, they thought outside the box and nurtured their own ecosystem with self-released records, their own social network The Obsidian Bond – which was designed by guitarist Shane Sumner to provide direct fan to band interaction – alongside co-singer Laurence Beveridge’s novels, and their own comic books. Recruiting a ferociously loyal following on this creative journey, the band has essentially created a community where fans can truly enjoy the freedom to be themselves. They are more determined than ever to breathe new life into a rock market that is afraid of imagination.
