Faux have just announced their biggest UK headline tour for next January and February! They’ll be kicking things off at London’s Old Blue Last on 29th January, and working their way around the UK before wrapping things up at the Frog And Fiddle in Cheltenham on 3rd February. Faux will be joined by Cheltenham three-piece, Polary as support.
As well as tour news, the self-proclaimed ‘dirty-pop’ outfit have just revealed a brand new guitarist to the line up. Steve Colver, guitarist of former indie/pop band Mr. Tom has said, I have been admiring the music and fine forms of Faux from a distance for a long time now. I’m excited to now be playing guitar with the boys, and look forward to creating some killer face melting riffs and catchy ear popping hooks.
This year has seen Faux cut their teeth on the live circuit. They supported punk-rockers Counterfeit. on the UK leg of their tour in April. They played several different venues up and down the UK, including a packed out show at London’s Underworld. Faux also played Teddy Rocks festival in Dorset, amongst bands such as Twin Atlantic and VANT, as well as releasing their self-titled EP into the world, via Speaking Tongues. It can be streamed here.
The Southampton four-piece have been busy writing in the studio, and are gearing up to release new music around their own headline tour next year. Watch this space…
