The incredible ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL 2017 (ATG) have today announced an additional 10 bands who will perform at the Fernhill Farm site, only 10 miles from Bristol.  Tickets are now on sale now and the dates are August 17th/18th/19th.

The 2017 headliners, Converge and Explosions In The Sky were announced exclusively on Radio 1 Rock Show and was met with unprecedented demand & is continuing to be one of the fastest selling years yet.  From organiser, James Scarlett – “We’re overwhelmed with the reaction to the announcement of Converge and Explosions in the Sky. In the space of the first three hours we sold as many tickets as in the first six weeks last year. We’re on course for our first ever sell-out and that makes me very happy!”

Joining them on the bill are British act TESSERACT – “We are very excited to be playing Arctangent 2017.  With line-ups that have always been daring and experimental, it’s been great to watch Arctangent go from strength to strength over the years and it’s been on our radar for quite some time now. And with the added bonus of playing alongside the amazing Converge and Explosions In The Sky, and drinking the west country’s finest cider, it promises to be a very enjoyable weekend!”

Watford based SIKTH will be playing the festival after their huge comeback, which has seen them return to a global platform and sharing the stage with the likes of Slipknot & Suicidal Tendencies. “We’re really excited to finally be playing Arctangent festival and playing material from our forthcoming new album. We will also be there checking out some of what will be yet another stellar line-up.” Says James Leach from the band

British post-metal band BOSSK will be returning “We are very excited to comeback to ArctTanGent. We played this festival in its very early form and was really impressed with the calibre of bands playing it, and the great location and site that it’s held on. It has grown from strength to strength since then and we can’t wait to perform there again. We will return with our expanded lineup, additional keys and guitars for a show you won’t want to miss” says Tom Begley of BOSSK

Others to join the pioneers of extreme, abrasive music, Converge and electronic experimentation, punk damaged dub, noise of Explosions In The Sky include TRICOT, EMPLOYED TO SERVE LOST IN KIEV, GUG, STOBES, THE PHYSIC HOUSE BAND/ WOT GORILLA?

From festival booker, James Scarlet – “Once people have been to ATG, they seem to come back every year. It has this amazing sense of community and really feels like we’re all part of a secret club that the rest of the world doesn’t know about. Watching an unknown, but amazing, band play at midday to a thousand people really helps with my faith in humanity! But nothing compares to 5,000 people gathering to watch the headliners – Converge and Explosion in the Sky this year will be out of this world and I guarantee that ArcTanGent 2017 will be the best weekend of the summer!”

“The ArcTanGent ethos is all about championing bands that exist just outside of the mainstream music world. We guarantee you the best acts from the worlds of math-rock, noise-rock and post-rock/metal. We’ve got some amazing exclusives this year. The fact is that both Converge and Explosions in the Sky are playing their only UK shows of 2017 at ArcTanGent. So if you want to see them, Fernhill Farm in August is the place to be!”
