ARCANE ROOTS today announce their brand new single ‘Slow Dance‘ , which will be added as part of any digital pre-orders and released as an Instant Grat track on Monday September 21st, it will also be available to buy from digital platforms AND up on Spotify from that date. Radio impact date of November 13th.
The track had its debut last night (Sept 20th) on Radio 1 on the Rock Show as its Rockest Record, or track of the week, and will get daytime plays across Radio 1 today (Sept 21st) following that, including a play on Clara Amfo this morning. This follows the release of first, lead off track ‘If Nothing Breaks, Nothing Moves’ which had huge Radio 1 support with Annie Mac, The R1 Rock Show, as well as being added to XFM playlist and the video being added to Kerrang TV, MTV Rocks and as Scuzz Video Of The Week.

A bit about ‘Slow Dance’ from Andrew Groves (front man, vocalist and guitarist):
‘Slow Dance is the turning point in the narrative of the ‘Heaven & Earth’ Ep, which is centred around the intense personal struggle involved in being the person you want to be in life, and the constant temptation to give it all up and find some stillness and quiet.
Slow Dance is that moment of clarity and grace, when you experience what it means to you to be alive, to be the person you want to be and it is as if you can feel the world spinning. You fight to slow down each and every second but just become a helpless observer to the beauty of it all, like a small glimpse of heaven. Everything else just feels like tv static, while the desire to find that signal again only becomes stronger and stronger. You rage into the dark night looking for that delicate little spark, for it only to disappear the moment you reach it with arms outstretched. Slow Dance is also about searching for connection, and trying to find something or someone to relate to when the world can feel so noisey and distracted.’
The bands brand new ‘Heaven and Earth’ EP will be released on October 16th through the bands new home at Sony Red/Easy Life.

Live wise, the band can now also announce they will be performing a very special, stripped back live show at Banquet Records in Kingston on October 16th, more news coming soon on that. ALSO, following on from their european tour with Enter Shikari, their huge 5 week long summer headline tour and a host of summer festivals, the band will be touring across Europe throughout most of late September/early October (kicking of Sept 22nd in Germany), then in the UK for a special EP release show at Dingwalls on Oct 15th, followed by main support slot on the UK Fightstar tour through October and then the 4 rescheduled UK dates in mid November.
