Walk the Moon leave London wishing they could press restart

Walk The Moon – London O2 – 11/04/18

When a show begins with The Circle Of Life from The Lion King, you know its going to be a good one and Walk The Moon (9) did not disappoint this evening. The band rolled into Press Restart, the opening track from their newest album, as they emerged onto the stage amid strobes to huge applause. The set tonight is a mix of their three albums, showcasing their journey and growth as a unit.

They dance around the stage with neon face paint on whilst throwing out tracks such as Kamikaze, All I Want and Avalanche. The audience are completely enraptured, many of them also wearing face paint, dancing and embracing one another. The big moment of the show is when the band play their 2015 hit track Shut Up And Dance and everyone in the room, even the bartenders, know this track so the sing-a-long gets pretty loud.

The show draws to a close with Close 2 U and Anna Sun, the bands current single. All the stops are pulled out in this finale of dancing and bouncing around the stage as the volume of the fans hit a record high for the night. The band draw out the last note of the evening as though they are loathe to see it end, which given how momentous it has been isn’t at all a surprise. Walk The Moon proved this evening that they are the full package, the real deal and a band to watch out for.
