Anne-Marie – Leeds O2 Academy – 27/05/19

Having just returned from her European leg of the tour, Anne-Marie is fired up and ready to tear through the UK on her Speak Your Mind tour. A packed-out Leeds O2 Academy is awaiting to greet her with a crowd mixed from children to adults proving just how much she has taken the UK by storm over the last few years.

Anne-Marie takes to the stage backed with her band to the sound of her latest single ‘Bad Girlfriend’, gliding around the floor to screams as she sings through an almost apologetic song written about her relationship. She’s full of energy and it doesn’t take long for her to be chatting away to the Leeds crowd between songs as her bubbly personality shines from the stage.

It’s clear from the start of the night that Anne-Marie has a special connection with her fanbase. She giggles through her set exchanging stories and chatting away to members of the crowd with every chance she gets much to everyone’s entertainment.

Her set consists of hit after hit from her debut album ‘Speak Your Mind’ and even the unreleased tracks go down a treat. ‘Alarm’ sparks a story of an Ex cheating on her in Ibiza and speaks of it being they perfect track to release her anger and energy in and encourages everyone else to do the same. She Also has a fan rap the part of Sean Paul during ‘Rockabye’ and they absolutely nail it much to everyone’s surprise in the audience.

The set closes out with the big hits ‘2002’ and her more recent ‘FRIENDS’ which had everyone in the crowd singing along one last time before the evening ends. Anne-Marie shows huge confidence and her personality bursts through the room throughout the set only making everything more enjoyable. Her vocals were on top form and as far as live performances go she couldn’t do an awful lot more to make this show any more fun for everyone involved!
