Kings of Leon have released the title track “WALLS” for they upcoming seventh studio album and its an introspective slow burner!
The new song premiered Thursday (Sept. 22) as Zayn Lowe’s Beats 1 “World Record of the Day” with an accompanying video online. Much like the track, the video is stoic and moving in its minimalism, focusing on a personal performance by singer and guitarist Caleb Followill.
“WALLS” flows with an airy longing driven by a softly chugging rhythm emphasized by gentle guitar picking and piano lines. Meanwhile, the video closely focuses on Followill strumming his guitar in a bare studio, it all leading leading viewers along an evocative journey.
