Enter Shikari are today happy to finally be able to announce the opening artist on their The Mindsweep Tour UK 2016 shows.
Alongside US label-mates The Wonder Years, the band will be joined by The King Blues who today announced the reformation of their original line-up.
Longtime fans and friends, the bands have previously played together on a number of occasions (this King Blues line-up supported Enter Shikari on their full 2009 UK tour), and Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds had this to say on the subject ;
“The King Blues are such an important British band. With music influenced by many different genres and cultures, and lyrics that represent and reinforce the people. Its great to have them back.
We had a blast when we toured together a few years back, so can’t wait to go off galavanting around the country with them again.
And for all those folk (usually the grumbling, weathered and out of touch) in the media asking “Where are all the bands with something to say?” Well, here’s three bands who – even though they approach it from different directions – create music that stems from punk; and carry its spirit, its invigorating power, and its willingness to engage with issues both personal and social”.
