The mighty Foo Fighters have announced new UK dates to make up for their cancelled Wembley stadium shows, after band were forced to pull the gigs after frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg falling off the stage in Gothenburg.

The new dates are 5 and 6 September at Milton Keynes Bowl and 8 September at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
Any fans who had a ticket for the Wembley Stadium shows will be able to buy tickets for these concerts for 48 hours before anyone else.

Support acts are Iggy Pop in Milton Keynes and Royal Blood & HoneyBlood in Edinburgh, with more to be announced at a later date.

The band are now back on tour in North America with Dave Grohl performing sat on a massive throne covered in guitars. He got the idea for the chair while he was “high as a kite” on pain medication. The singer told Entertainment Weekly “the idea of the throne is just ridiculous, especially for a band that has never relied on any kind of production at all”. He says he had originally wanted the chair to fly, but their production team weren’t keen. “Look man, you already have one broken leg. Let’s not fly it around yet.'”

In the same interview, Grohl said the fracture had turned into a positive thing for the band and the fans.
“The shows we’ve been doing lately are our favourite shows that we’ve ever done,” he said.
“What seemed like a setback at the time has turned into this beautiful blessing in disguise, where this throne and these crutches and these audiences make us play longer and harder than we ever have.

“I think the spontaneity of this situation we’re in right now just brings out a smile in everyone,” the frontman added.

Tickets go on sale for the rescheduled Foo Fighters gigs on Friday 17 July at 10am.
